This is not "made in Dominican Attitude" excursion, but that of a service provider. It is available from Bayahibe / Dominicus as well as Juan Dolio and Baca Chica and hotel transport is included.
This full day outing is perfectly organized. Transportation, meals and entrance tickets are included. So all you need to do is relax and enjoy the program!
Once the reservation is made, we will send you all the information for pickup.
The guide will pick you up from your hotel in Bayahibe / Dominicus or Juan Dolio / Boca Chica, in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
It will be with this same transport that you will make the circuit to discover the first city of the American continent.
First stop at the entrance to the capital at the open-air cave called '' los 3 ojos ''. It is an underground water table which, eroding the rock over the centuries, has collapsed, leaving the fresh and crystalline water sources uncovered. This unusual site in a capital of 5 million inhabitants, has been declared a national park.
You will then head to the Colonial Zone, without failing to make a photo stop at the '' Faro a Colón, and the Presidential Palace.
Once in the colonial zone, a district listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will visit the our-lady-of-incarnation Cathedral which is the first construction of this type built at the beginning of the 16th century on the American continent.
Lunch will be in a small and typical restaurant of the colonial zone, so you will have the opportunity to eat a meal like a Dominican! It is a simple meal, usually including chicken in sauce accompanied by rice and red beans.
In the afternoon you will see the national pantheon with its guards who do not move a millimeter.
You will also have free time to stroll through the alleys of the old town and possibly take the opportunity to buy some souvenirs.
These history steeped places provide so many opportunities to the guide to tell you about his country, its culture and the past, do not hesitate to ask him questions, he will be happy to answer you. And since the excursion is done in small groups of a maximum of ten people, he will be able to take good care of you.
